Recs if you like The Most Dangerous Game...

Shorter books (under 200 pages) that are part of at least one quest. Many are also in the public domain, making them easily accessible when you want to grind for that next badge.

on average people read 40-60 pages an hour, so this is a continuously updated collection of books with 60 pages or less & a couple short story collections

A novel is a prose work typically above 40k words, though many fall between 60-100k. Anything between roughly 17k and 40k words is generally considered a novella, while works between about 7k and 17k words are classified as novelettes, with some flexibility ~

TL;DR - short stories with 7k-17k words. Get out of that slump.

This list will contain books that made me go, "Wait what?" I am still not sure if I completely get them but I i think I semi-liked some of them 🤣 (p.s. I am adding recs by other users so some i havent read yet)

no like….. literally

For the gurlies that want to read more classics but finish in a day

This is a curated list of short stories that are must read for any literature enthusiast! Feel free to post your suggestions in comments.

A reading list that I thought I’d share consisting of all the books on the Brink Literacy Project’s tarot deck. I’m going for completionist and this is here for anyone who’d like to keep track and do the same, or who wants to read classic literature paired with tarot cards 🤗

(Apart from the first five, all books are in order, starting with the Major Arcana, and moving Ace to King through the Wands, Cups, Swords, and then Pentacles suit).

For the times you want a short read or need to finish a challenge fast.

All of these are less than 200 pages or no more than 5 hours long. Most are considered novellas, but some short stories have been included as well. No anthologies or collections.

Lesser known horror books from every year spanning 1920-1930 (Silent horror films and Conrad veidt were my special interest for a year so I know ball)

I wish I had amnesia so I could read these books for the first time again.

A list of plays, novellas, short stories, etc. when you need a quick read

Welcome back to high school

Books about hunting but not the kind you're thinking. Humans hunting humans, animals hunting humans, monsters hunting humans, etc. Any unusual scenarios that still fit the idea of hunting and predator vs prey.

These are all the books that changed my life and the way that I view the people and cultures around me.

Horror, Absurdity, Death

Books in which the rich abuse their wealth and status to get away with heinous things.
