Coco has never been on vacation, but she certainly didn't expect to fall in love on her very first one. Even more unexpected? The man who catches her eye, her heart and her...bikini regions...is her best friend's grandfather. Walt is a four-star general and in better shape than the younger men vying for Coco's attention, but he's three times her age! No to mention, her BFF will flip if she finds out what they've been doing behind closed doors, despite Walt's gruff pronouncements that it can't happen again. But even a military hero's will is only so strong. He's caving. And his heart is already ten steps ahead...

Star rating: ⭐⭐⭐ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Best friend's dad trope? One of my favorites. Best friend's GRANDFATHER? I just had to find out. As a sucker for age gap romances, I couldn’t resist giving this one a try, even though it sat on my TBR for a while since it felt a little daunting at first. I’ve read quite a few Jessa Kane novellas, and while this one wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t my favorite either. The story had a light, playful vibe, and you could tell the author was having fun with it, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. My biggest issue was with the FMC, Coco. At 21, she felt very immature, which I assume was intentional given the light DDlg elements in the story. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the thumb-sucking moments or the "grandpa" stuff toward the end, it just didn’t work for me.
