fast-pace dark high school romance!
i remember when i first picked up book #1, i had just started getting into dark romance & it was a good introduction to settling in. now that i’m a more avid dark romance reader & i fairly enjoyed how light & fast pace this was. i did not expect the mafia trope at all! while i read book #1 a while ago, as i read through book #2 everything started coming back to me reminding me how much i enjoy carmen’s writing. its addicting. if you’re looking for something not too dark (although rubi’s background story is pretty sad) that’s quick pace + fast plot, the duet is a perfect read. the only thing was that i felt the ending was too rushed. i look forward to tyler’s story next!
