This book comes next after Murphy and Caden’s story. That’s where we first meet Brady. Brady seemed like a dog on the surface, having a girl in every city the team plays, but there was a reason for his whorish ways. Because of past tragedy, a relationship was the last thing he wanted. But then he meets his physical therapist Rylee and things start to change. Rylee also has things in her past keeping her from a relationship. At first they try being friends, but they both soon realize they want more. But they also believe they can’t have more. It takes awhile for them to get it together, but when they do, it’s in a very real and satisfying way.
I liked this one. There was drama that was pretty tragic and sad but it didn’t weigh down the story. The thing keeping the couple apart was plausible and not just some overblown drama. It made sense to the characters and the story. Brady and Rylee were a cute couple despite their troubles and they made me smile at their cuteness.
