Recs if you like Taproot: A Story About A Gardener and A Ghost...

JK Rowling is a bigot who uses her platform to hurt transfolks and other marginalized groups (plus she literally just quoted Mein Kampf on the bird site). If you're still supporting her in 2025, don't bother talking to me.

LGBT*+ graphic novels / comics / manga +

Fluff to smut, including 18+ etc aka not exclusive to anything specific other than being queer content (queer & queer-rep inclusive stories). I have read a good handful of the ones now at the bottom of the list. Includes intended middle-grade-ish-level youth content to adult audience content.

In progress / updated over time. Mostly serving as an all-in-one-spot list until Pagebound figures something out that works well for multi-genre/format exploration. :)

(recs highly welcome) Attempting a highly exhaustive list.

Perfect for fantasy lovers with not enough hours in the day!

Feel free to mention any I missed in the comments 😊

I’m aiming to read 100 queer graphic novels, so here’s my list of the ones I’ve already read and the ones I plan to read. There might not be 100 books on the list yet, as I’m still gathering them all together.

I have spent years curating a list of graphic novels for myself on goodreads and I thought this place would be great to share it and share my love for graphic novels. I’m not picky about the plot or topics of the graphic novels I read so the list is pretty much any graphic novel I have heard of regardless of topic. Many are middle grade or young adult as is the general trend of the format but recommendations for more (especially adult) would be greatly appreciated.

Also manga is not included.

Exactly what it says on the tin: queer stories that also have ghosts.

Graphic novels to cozy up with and read for fall and Halloween.

a bunch of recommendations from my most-read genre 💕

romances that involve the afterlife with one, or both, of the MCs being ghosts, spirits, or reapers.

no vampires or dark romance, there's other great lists for those recs!

Forever chasing the high of a wattpad fic I read in my teens where the love interest was a long dead ghost, but the fic never ended (I think) and I never got closure. GHOST ROMANCES ONLY. (Still haven't found the book I want)

A mix of anthologies, standalones, and series. Many are indie!

expanding my graphic novel literacy, one panel at a time (continually updating)

Complete list of graphic novels I've read across multiple genres and maturity levels. Includes standalones and series.

Read at your own risk. Some are good and others let's pretend they don't exist.

Recommendations are always welcome, feel free to comment.

Need to finish your montly/yearly goal? Starts summoning graphic novels 💫 (multi-genre options included)📔

Some titles may be more suitable for mature readers. Please feel free to leave a comment if you'd like some guidance☺️

*Nb: Not all are standalone, some are a series🌼 Webcomics listed below have been published and have print editions🏵

A list of non-erotic graphic novels with queer protagonists or queer relationships that don't hinge on anybody dying or being killed.
