As book 2 seemed to promise, we finally get Lizzie’s story!

This one is just as fast-paced and dramatic as its predecessors and no less exciting. A great edition to the series, leaving me satisfied with Lizzie and Jason, definitively confirming my theories about Lizzie, and keeping me completely addicted and needing to read on in the series.

Things seem to be heating up more in the grand scheme and I cannot wait to see how it all unfolds.

This installment is packed with real love, heat, life-altering friendship bonds, heartbreak, drama, betrayal, war, corruption and so much more. Amazing world-building all the while.

    5 stars.

    Note:
I listened to the audiobook: both narrators are smooth, easy on the ears and add to the reading experience.

This was a great read, the characters were great whether you liked or loathed them or didn't know if you could trust them! I thought Lizzie was great how she had times of confidence especially when ignoring her mother and how Jay is trying to stay focused but not doing so well with that. The background to Jay and the others was great especially as you got to know more and more as the book went along bu still didn't know what was so special about Lizzie. There are plenty of mysteries, shocks and twists that kept me hunkered down with this book as I needed to know more about everything.
