“I rise from the depths I’ve been drowning in for all these years and feel like I can breathe again. No longer afraid of what lingers in the murkiness, I step into the clear water and let all the pain wash away”
I don’t even know how to put into words my love for this book.
Piper has been in love with her best friend since they were young, when he dies suddenly and she is left being the guardian of his daughter who refuses to speak.
Going on the journey of heartbreak, grief and loss, at 26 Piper did everything she could for Ainsley and to give her a good life like Danny would of wanted while trying to navigate how to deal with the pain of losing something she never really had.
I’m not usually a fan of love triangles, but this was a very unconventional type, since no one was in a relationship.
Easton is her quiet, broody roommate, Carter is her professor/friend from when they were kids.
They both made her realise how to let go of the past and learn to move on and be happy.
Easton is beautiful and caring to both Piper and Ainsley
