Recs if you like It's a Love/Skate Relationship...

every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!

bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.

i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!

in progress - taking suggestions

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Sport (fictional + real) and competition queer romance recommendations!

Feel free to leave your own recommendations in the comments and I will add them to the list! :)

All the YA Sapphic books that have been published (or at least most of them). The books in this list have at least one main character who is either a lesbian, bisexual or pansexual. I only put the first books in series.

Yes, queer and trans folks play sports. These are those books.

Sapphic characters and sports, what could be better?

Whether it's about the romance or the sport or both, these books at the very least contain characters who practice and/or care about sports, are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and possibly do the kissy

The few ones that we have :,) but seriously, why are there so few sapphic hockey books???? Pls comment any that I can add!

sapphic reads i've read or on my tbr! mostly fantasy/scifi and contemp, some hisrom and nonfic 📚

This list gathers ice hockey romance novels that explore queer sexualities (achillean, sapphic, poly), disability, masculinity and women’s participation in sport. The corpus supports my research question for an essay I'm writing: How do contemporary ice hockey romance novels challenge hegemonic masculinity and reimagine belonging within a traditionally heteromasculine sport?

(mainly YA and queer) books I don't see around here a lot -- here's my underrated recommendations (under 200 ratings as I'm adding them)

I haven't seen a list like this so I wanted to make it :D If you have any suggestions feel free to write a comment!

For sapphics who love hockey girls and the PWHL

I feel like with the rising interest in HR and hockey in general it is necessary to show that not just men belong in hockey, so here is a list about women playing or coaching ✨ This list will include fiction and nonfiction. Recs are always welcome, I haven’t read everything!!! 💅✨🫶 *P.S. I hope the list will include nonbinary and other genderqueer people in the future, I just haven’t found any books yet!!

these women play ice sports and love other women. as always, recs welcome!

books about my favourite sport

Sometimes I'm a basic b who likes sports romance and there are a lot of hockey romances with many flavours. Hoping for more recs and more queer rep 🏳‍🌈
