A series of books where Disney films didn't go quite the way we remember

Fairy tale Retelling ranging from YA to Adult (will be updating as I come across them)

There are so many books that take familiar Disney characters and give a little more. From standalones to series, I'm hoping to catch as many as I can!

books that take inspiration from or are direct retellings of the classics, fairytales, myths, and legends.

Retellings, expansions, and character studies inspired by Carlo Collodi's beloved puppet tale! I'm including the original Pinocchio that is a new translation published by Penguin Classics (14 Sept. 2021 • ISBN 9780143136095). It's annotated by the translators and is super informative! A great addition to this list!
