Lita is on the run from her fiance and her life. The only problem is that her mother thinks she's doing a good thing for her and has frozen her access to her money. So she goes to the grocery store to get herself some chocolate as a treat to soothe her. While at the grocery store, Lita happens across a child having a meltdown. She tries to help, but the little boy's grumpy father is having none of it. Once the kid is calmer, Lita realizes that the father is her brother's friend Decker. Decker is raising his son alone and eventually hires Lita to be his son, Jackson's, nanny. Jackson is already head over heels in love with her; can Decker hope to not follow suit?
This story has my favorite trope of grumpy/sunshine. Decker is all law and order and strict military rules and ball of energy Lita shakes him all up. It was so fun seeing Lita bring Decker to his knees and make him realize how much they really needed her.
