I went into this really hoping to love it, and guess what - I did. This is one of those rare horror collections that runs you through the gambit of emotions. It isn't all fear and high tension, there were moments of real heartbreak that invoked true sadness for me. I cared for many of the characters, the world-building and storytelling was top-notch, and it left me wanting more from this author!
