This series was recommended to me by a friend. So even though I didn't like this book in 2019, I gave it another shot just so I can read the other books in the series. At least I can say, I gave it two starts instead of one this time around.

Jad was a pain in my a**! It's a shame when you cheer when the MMC starts thinking about giving up on the heroine. She refused to believe anything he said and always found something to bitch about or use as an issue to not be with him. He did everything to prove to her that he really cared about her. And what did she do? Get a damn restraining order on him! And everybody sided with her. Absolutely not. I get that she had a hard life. However, she gave everyone else her trust and let down her guard but not with Stephan.

Why did I raise it star? Because I love alpha MMCs and Stephan was just that.

At least I'm done with this one and can go on to the next book. If I don't enjoy it, it's my own fault.

    -Original Review-
This was such a drag! Goodness, I’m actually surprised it made it all the way through. First things first, the book really needs an editor. I’m usually able to look over grammar errors, but there are so many here that I just couldn’t.

I really couldn’t stand the heroine, Jade. She fought Stephan every step of the way! I honestly don’t understand what he saw in her. I get she’s supposed to be his soul mate, but that’s not enough for me. Every time I thought I was starting to enjoy it, Jade ruined it.

If you are looking for a better read that’s on the same vibe as this, pick up Shielding Lily by Alexa Riley. So much better than this!
