Recs if you like My Love Mix-Up!, Vol. 1...

LGBT*+ graphic novels / comics / manga +

Fluff to smut, including 18+ etc aka not exclusive to anything specific other than being queer content (queer & queer-rep inclusive stories). I have read a good handful of the ones now at the bottom of the list. Includes intended middle-grade-ish-level youth content to adult audience content.

In progress / updated over time. Mostly serving as an all-in-one-spot list until Pagebound figures something out that works well for multi-genre/format exploration. :)

(recs highly welcome) Attempting a highly exhaustive list.

I read so much BL manga on Libby. I thought it might be handy for people to have a list of what I've found. This includes explicit and non-explicit titles, and for series I only put in vol 1. Note that just because it's on Libby doesn't mean any specific library will have it, but you can pick "notify me" to let the library know you are interested, and they may acquire it! This list is only titles that (as far as I know) are from Japan and available in English (does not include manhua or manhwa).

yaoi with a physical english publication (includes manhwas and manhuas)

series only show first volume, i add books as a i read them

Shoujo and Josei series everyone should read.

Will have you kicking your feet while you read and feeling butterflies through the pages 🫧 honorable mention to Yuri On Ice, Sk8 Infinity, & all the one shots and independent BL authors I couldn’t add

(mostly sapphic) good queer books on my personal wishlist that have an added benefit of looking beautiful on the shelf!

curated list of my fave fiction that have authentic and in-depth portrayals of the bi+ experience—often through intersections with gender expansiveness and the aromantic/asexual spectrums—as attraction that transcends gender, and/or the unique simultaneous embodiment of homosexuality and heterosexuality.

if only i knew straightness wasn’t a requirement in the kinds of books i loved. always updating with more! mostly angsty romance, instrospective scifi, cozy fantasy.

surprise! don’t panic! you’re queer!

my favourite manga with thoughtful queer rep!

You're an OG shojo reader and don't know the recent ones, this list is for you!

Shoujo's that made my heart skip a beat...

Main characters that are not explicitly confirmed as asexual or whose asexual traits are prescribed to a different factor at play (not being programmed for it, for example).

Books made into BL/GL dramas. (Or BL/GL dramas made into books)

A list of green flag starter BL series (easy-to-follow plot, published, easy to find) for anyone wanting to get into the genre.

Most of these can be found on Libby or Comics Plus through your library.📚

⚠️Varying levels of spice, but no spice between minors on this list⚠️
