If Cameron knows one thing, it’s that nothing is as easy as it seems. Between being born into an abusive household and falling into an abusive relationship in college, love hasn’t been easy. His adopted parents and sister have done their best to prove that wrong, but as far as Cameron is concerned, finding a mate is off the table, quite possibly forever. He knows better than most that fate is never a guarantee at happiness. At least, that’s what he thinks until he stumbles into an incredibly handsome, kind alpha at the airport. Cameron had never allowed himself to imagine what his fated mate would look like, let alone feel like, but Emory feels like home in a way that challenges everything Cameron has ever thought about fate. Emory never wanted to run the family business. He grew up assuming his cousin would take the reins and he would be able to work and play and love on his own timeline. Then his cousin, the rightful heir, left and his father died, leaving him as not only the head of the company, but the head of the family.
