Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

She’s a brat who can’t come. He’s a pleasure dom who’s wanted her for years. They’re a match made in chaos. From fake orgasms to fake nonchalance, Jasmine Cannon has spent so long playing pretend she has everyone convinced she’s the fun, chaotic friend without a care in the world. Everyone except her best friend’s new stepson, Liam Michaelson, that is. Liam has wanted Jazz since the second he laid eyes on her, but when she agrees to be his fake date for his ex’s wedding, he doesn’t expect to fall into bed with her. Again. Not that he remembers much of the drunken hookup they’ve never talked about… When Liam discovers Jazz hasn’t had an orgasm in a decade, he’s determined to be the one to get her there. But Jazz isn’t as carefree as she pretends, and working through her orgasm-block causes her perfectly crafted facade to crack. After years of faking it, Jazz has finally found someone she wants to be real with—now she just has to learn how. False Confidence contains explicit sexual content and sensitive topics. Thorough content warnings can be found on the author’s website.

    3.5 ⭐

So, obviously, this is the second book in the series and while most of CR books can be read as standalone even if it's in a series, I wouldn't recommend reading this one as one. I didn't read the first book and should have because the MCs of this book were very present in this one too.

I usually avoid books where sex is the main topic, that usually bores me. Here, I didn't mind. Yes, I skimmed one or two sex scenes but it was overall enjoyable. I liked that the FMC couldn't orgasm at first and I wish there were more FMCs like that.
I didn't mind that the FMC was a mess, at first. I kind of get her, to be honest. But near the end of the book, I couldn't stand her self-sabotage. She was an awful friend and the MMC was a little too good for her.

I may not read the first book (I don't want to see a grown woman call her man daddy) but I might read the next books.

Book representation: FMC is pansexual, her sister is a lesbian (next book is supposed to be about her), her brother is bi (he's supposed to be in the 4th book), MMC is dyslexic)

    Liam, Liam, Liam...YES PLEASE!!

This was such a great read and it did not disappoint! The story was fantastic with real mental health representations. The character development was great and the main characters really brought the best out in each other. And the spice!!!! Oh lordy, needed a cold shower after that one haha.

Thank you for allowing me to read this baby early! It was another fantastic read by Sophie.

This book had me crying, laughing, and just so irrevocably in love - no take backs. Jasmine and Liam are the sweetest couple and everything was just so well written. I don't often give books five stars but this one, without a doubt, deserves it. There is no third act breakup, even though Jazz tries to
