Jesse James is a normal eighteen-year-old, even if her parents are the best faerie bounty hunters in New York. Jesse’s only concern is how to pay for college, but that changes the night her parents disappear. Equipped with her parents’ weapons and her own smarts, Jesse enters the dangerous world of bounty hunting in search of her mother and father. In her quest, she encounters all manner of Fae, but the scariest is Lukas, the mysterious, imposing faerie who offers to help her find her parents. But there are powerful forces at work, and Jesse is about to become a player in a dangerous game that could decide the fate of everyone she loves. In this world of magic and deception, it’s hard to tell her allies from her enemies in the race to find her parents before their time runs out.

In this Urban fantasy our propagandist Jesse is pulled into the family business when her mum and dad go missing on a bounty hunting trip. Jesse is a lady on a mission and her dedication to family is shown throughout the book. Even though she may not have the field experience like other hunters we see her brains and mental strength excell. We see characters such as her adopted sprite brother Finn, her bestfriend Violet and love interest Lukas and his friends. This book had me on the edge of my seat and genuinely upset at points of the story especially with that twist at the end...I had to immediately buy the next book. This is definitely a five star read and is my favourite book I've read to date

    Loved it!
Karen is my Squealy Queen. Her books make me squeal and giggle like a teenager.
This new series is very fast pace and fun. Mysteries are not very mysterious, but I don't mind a little obviousness.
Ok, I forced myself to write something, before I go start the second book.
So yeah, the book is great. Highly recommend
