Oh THANK GOD it’s over! I enjoyed the trilogy as a whole, but this book was sooooooooooo drawn out. I was tempted to abandon, and skip to the end a few times.

I would have rather more action scenes than the never ending pages, and pages, and pages of dreams and feelings. I skipped entire paragraphs and didn’t miss anything. Over all, it’s a fantastic story, but this book could have been easily been better with some character’s having a final death chapter instead of chapters of torturous dreams, and visions. The meat was there, but it was tiny and covered in watery potatoes. Rielle is the second worst character I’ve read in a long time. I am glad there were so many other POV’s because I just couldn’t stand her. Corian takes the cake though as the worst. He is even more of a narcissist than Rielle, and is constantly gas lighting her to get his way. Just two unlikeable entities that you can’t get behind even knowing their backstories because their personalities just suck.

The overall story in the three books is fantastic, and it’s a good ending to a great trilogy that takes you on an incredible journey. However, this book could have been amazing if more was done with the secondary characters. Instead, we got pages upon pages of the same things over and over again

Decided to DNF @ 42%. I may come back to it, but finally realized I don’t really care how this ends.
