My best friend Kyra and I share everything. We share opinions, clothes, even a dorm room for two years. We’re truly best friends. But even the closest friends have secrets. The first time I heard his voice, I’d been filled with a longing so powerful it consumed me. He was all I could think about—Kyra’s Dad. Then she asked me if I’d stay with her at his home over the summer while our place was being renovated. And when I finally saw him, I swear I almost combusted on the spot. Owen Bolling. Six feet two inches of sophisticated, tight muscle in a nice suit, perfectly aged, smoldering man. I can’t tell my best friend about my crush. I can’t tell her that I need the one thing she’d never share with me… Her father.

I was loving this, truly, right up until the insta-love. It was unlike anything else frankly and the last few chapters seemed immensely rushed, without much planning or forethought. I would’ve preferred it to have been 100 pages longer just to flesh out the relationship more because it was very first kiss to completely in love to marriage and babies which I just didn’t find believable in the end. Other than that I loved it and as a story, it was a great piece of escapism so I can’t fault it for that.
