This was a really lovely read; the book would pair well with a cup of tea and a windowsill. The small town characters were pretty captivating and the little bit of mystery in the various subplots and split time periods didn't disappoint. The story had enough intrigue to capture my attention but not so much to take away from the overall pleasantness of the read. I was disappointed when the book ended as I wanted to keep reading, so I'm hoping the sequel, Spring House, will give some good updates on how these characters fare (despite following a different protagonist).
