Misty owns the coffee shop and Rogue is her best friend, bear shifter, computer hacker, secret crush. Misty has been in love with Rogue for years and everyone but Rogue knows it. Rogue is an unapologetic single man, lots of one-night-stands, and has openly said he doesn’t do relationships and isn’t interested in long term, especially not with a human. Misty decides to move on and starts dating Harlem, he’s the big bad for multiple books.
Rogue gets bad vibes off Harlem and how he treats Misty, Misty doesn’t really want to hear it though and excuses away some red flags. Rogue hacks a bit and turns up arrest records, and history of his parents paying off former girl friends. Good thing - when MIsty finds this out, she immediately dumps him. She also finds out more on her own to realize Harlem is a bad dude, and doesn’t make a stink about Rogue protecting her, but she is confused about his suddenly weird over protectiveness. A rival shifter gang turns up and Sin, another bear shifter, is VERY interested in Misty, which makes Rogue crazy, for reasons he doesn’t even understand.
I assume Sin turns up in his own series (?) because he is a decent biker bear shifter in this book and the next book.
Misty is rightly dubious about Rogue giving her sexy eyes all of the sudden, and he has is own shit to work out with his past.
This one ends with Harlem breaking into her house and Rogue and Sin both kicking his ass.
