Then, Earth Swallowed Ocean is an intensely dark romance and erotic horror set in post WW2 Appalachia. When Sadie seeks shelter with none other than Ridge’s veteran older brother Wright, tensions escalate towards explosion. And, frankly, demonic levels of horniness. In this multi-POV story of revenge, lust, family ties, and sacrifice, three characters are pushed to walk the knife’s edge of humanity and hell, of saviors and sinners, of fated and fatal love.

This book has given me a book hang over that I'm finding hard to break out of. This book is easily one of my absolute favorites of the year. The narration style took a little getting used to but flowed in a beautifully poetic manner. I loved all the characters but Wright was my favorite, I loved the savagery of Ridge and the calm accepting nature of Sadie. This book is the most original book I've ever read. Shiloh has taken lycans and added realism to them. This book doesn't romanticize what being a lycan would mean, it's brutal and raw. The spice is delicious and I loved all of it but the plot is also really good. Honestly if you can handle what is within the content of this book then I think it is a must read. 10/10. I need more.
0This book is horrifying and gorgeous and filthy - both in the way you’re thinking and also in the “covered in sweat, dirt, and blood” connotation. The contradictions in this work fascinate me; it’s gory and sexy and repulsive and honestly, I could go on, but I just finished this and I want to go stare at a wall and think thoughts.
Familiarize yourself with the CW/TW if you need to and then READ THIS. It is incredibly well-written.
