Animals, Aliens, Robots, and Monsters! Books to get you out of your human skin and into something with different instincts and senses

stories narrated by animals. primary focus on ya/adult books with a select few classics for all ages.

sparse updates since there is an animal pov main quest now!

A collection of novels that step outside the human perspective, inviting readers into the minds of animals. From intimate character studies to unsettling psychological tales, these stories use animal narrators to explore grief, survival, morality, and what it really means to be human.

Dinosaur fiction for adults.

Living, non-anthropomorphised dinos only (i.e. not just bones and no beasties having a chat). Only the first book in a series unless subsequent books are iconic (like Jurassic Park and The Lost World).

May include spice, gore, bad words, and other fun adulty stuff.

Books about dinosaurs (fiction/non fiction)

From the big SciFi OGs of Michael Crichton, to horror-esque survival and good old adventure stories. This is my curated list of dinosaur-centric stories that I thoroughly enjoyed. 🏃‍♂️🦖

Any books, fiction or non-fiction, that feature the most fascinating creatures to have walked this planet: dinosaurs! Sure to awaken your inner paleontologist. Recs always welcome!!

So you like dinos?

Fiction from an animal perspective! Good for grown-up fans of Erin Hunter series.

A list covering dinosaurs, other prehistoric animals, evolution, and the history of paleontology. It has broad coverage, making it a good starting point for anyone new to prehistoric life. Includes scientific nonfiction, reference books, and a few quirky, niche reads.

An interweaving collection of nonfictional/fictional histories, ranging from a utahraptor pov set hundreds of millions of years ago, to adventurous paleontology in the 1800s, to the 1990s sci-fi classics we all love, wrapping with a multi-million dollar 2010s scandal spanning continents. I really enjoyed how these books tied together; referencing each other, their respective authors, or the same people/events.

Rawr. Books must feature dinosaurs as main characters, incorporate them into crucial plot moments, or be the main subject of a nonfiction book.

When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth

Sci-Fi & Horror heavy because we like to read about dragons, robots, and fellow aliens. We also enjoy the spookies.

books where dinosaurs are the main characters

Pair with "Level 9 – Prehistoric World" book.
