I love Elizabeth Hunter, but the female audio book reader has me wanting to take my eyes out. Read it in text, not audio. I have a long commute in the car, so this is my option, but she leaves me feeling like someone is taking sandpaper to my skin.
Also, I'm just not won over by Tatiana. I don't pick up depth from her, which is very disappointing. She's stubborn, she's independent, and?? She loves her mother. And? The captivating bookkeeper? What is a captivating bookkeeper? She does not captivate me, just because she has a bit of a spine.
In the end, I will definitely read the next book as I have ready EVERYTHING else in this world. I'm not going to bail now. That said, I really wish I liked her more. I understand him, begin to like him (notice the word begin), but I really can't seem to care about her at all.
