Recs if you like Balancing on the Mechitza: Transgender in Jewish Community (Io Series)...

memoirs, anthologies, graphic novels etc. - anything goes as long as it's nonfiction about the trans & queer experience

nonfiction books spanning various religions and regions, celebrating and proving the intersection of queerness and religion. both can be true 🏳️‍🌈🫶🏽 i have not read all of these, so please feel free to let me know if any of these are innaccurate or if you have any suggestions!

Academic and non-academic non-fiction by Jewish authors about Jewish topics, with an emphasis on content outside the US, about non-Ashkenazi minhagim, Jews of colour, and historical subjects other than the Shoah. A few books may have non-Jewish co-authors or authors, but I'll try to limit them as much as possible.
