Veronica is a law student who only has herself to rely on. When she and Jack meet for the first time, they really don't seem to get along. She finds him grumpy and abrasive. He wants to dismiss her, but he needs a nanny so he agrees to give her the job. The more time that they spend together, the more sparks fly. The way that the characters change and grow throughout the story makes it even more interesting to read.
