This love match has been set up for a while in the Love in Bloom universe. That doesn’t mean you have to read the other books to read this one, it stands alone just fine. But if you have read the other books in the Steeles at Silver Island series, you know that Sutton does not get along with her boss, Flynn. One of those situations you know is fueled by the two trying to deny their chemistry because of the employee/boss dynamic, but it will eventually combust. And combust it did!
Sutton and Flynn are getting ready to go spend time in the Amazon rainforest for their show when they are told they are not, in fact, going in with a whole crew. Instead, it’ll just be the two of them, Flynn for camera work and as the expert outdoorsman to keep Sutton safe, Sutton as the report in a sort of Man vs. Wild situation. It’ll only be for a few days, yet that is a lot of one-on-one time for two people who seem to despise each other.
That one-on-one time was phenomenal for this story. Having to rely on Flynn has Sutton seeing him in a different light. Being intimately alone with Sutton and tasked with keeping her safe, Flynn can no longer pretend there aren’t feelings on his part. Turns out, Flynn is a big softy. I adored the conversations these two had while in the rainforest. Whether they were going back in forth with witty banter, flirting, or getting into the nitty-gritty of their lives and their families, the connection was warm and gooey.
The attraction between these two is so palpable, it was amazing their co-workers were so blind to their continued relationship once they returned home. I loved the way they couldn’t keep away from each other, but I was on tenterhooks waiting for them to get caught!
I can’t wait to see more from Flynn’s line of Bradens, maybe some of them will find love on Silver Island???
