Full Out Fiend

Daphne As a little girl, I believed in fairy tales. Prince Charming saving the princess. The promise of a better life. The magic of happily ever after. But I’m pretty sure Sleeping Beauty never woke up to a text message from Prince Charming’s brother, informing her that they’d both been granted “free passes” for the weekend of their bachelor and bachelorette parties. I can’t believe this is my life. But I’ve already made my decision, and I’m confident about what happens next. The wedding is off. I won’t be the victim in this story. I’m ready to take back my power. One night of pleasure with the wildly attractive man I meet at The Oak is just what I need to start rewriting my happily ever after. What I didn’t anticipate? One night with Fielding might not be enough. Not only that—one night with him might change the trajectory of my life forever. Fielding It’s been a long time since I’ve felt anything in the hollow, tattered place my heart used to reside. Then everything shifts when I lock eyes with a luminous angel in white. She’s a ten. But she’s curvy as hell with an ass that’s literally two handfuls. So she’s a twelve. She’s also the freaking bride to be—or was, according to her story. I offer Daphne one night of pleasure, knowing damn well it won’t be enough. Now I want more. No, not just more—I want it all with her. She’s reluctant to pursue the connection I know we both feel, and with good reason. So I’ll bide my time. Play the long game. Wait her out and do everything in my power to convince her she’s meant to be mine. One thing’s for sure: I’m not giving up when it comes to my future with this woman. It’s disgustingly on brand for me. If it’s off limits, I want it. Dangle the forbidden fruit in front of me, and I’ll stop at nothing until I obtain it. I’ve always been a full out fiend.

Full Out Fiend is a interconnected standalone featuring characters who are friends and family. This book is Fielding and Daphne’s story. At the beginning of the book, Daphne is planning to call off her wedding to Anthony because he had his brother send her a text from Las Vegas that they had a “weekend pass” to do whatever and whomever they wanted for the weekend (basically giving himself permission to cheat). She no longer interested in marrying him, but she’s waiting for him to return to town to finish the breakup. Meanwhile, she’s still having her bachelorette party and meets Fielding at the bar. He seems to know something is off with her and they hookup for the night. After their third go around of the night, Fielding realizes that the condom tore and when he comes back into the bedroom to let Daphne know, she’s gone. He’s so taken with her he can’t stop thinking about her. She has some of the same feelings but Daphne has another problem: she’s pregnant. Even if they can work together to take care of their baby, can they get past the sins of his past and the meddling of her ex who can’t seem to take no for an answer?
I absolutely adored both of the main characters in this book. Even though the things that Fielding had done in the past were bad, he is trying really hard to be better for Daphne and Winnie. When he is talking to Daphne about how much he loves her and how he wants their life to be, it’s just swoon worthy. Daphne has been living in the back seat of her life for a long time and it’s awesome to see her come into herself. When she stands up to Anthony, I was literally like “yes, girl!”.
