page turners for reading slumps
mostly thrillers, all books i stayed up way too late to read. these arenβt necessarily literature, just books that hook.

women who survive the greatest monster of all : men (and make them pay if we're lucky)

dystopian works
dystopian novels or short stories (if you have suggestions or think there are mistakes please let me know!)
edit: a dystopian book describes an undesirable society, and contains themes of oppression perpetrated by a tyrannical government. It is different from post-apocalyptic books (like The Road), which can contain similar themes, but lack the social commentary about living in fear of the government, lack of individualisation, propaganda, etc.

Weird and Unhinged Women
All sorts of stories about all sorts of women. Mostly litfic, some horror.

Iβm really fascinated by cover trends in publishing and this one has felt inescapable this year so I decided to make a list of them all! I feel like I personally see this most often in horror & lit fic, but Iβd love to hear if youβve seen this trend outside those genres or if thereβs another trend you see!
