You totally get where Sadie is coming from where she is torn between her attraction to Carrick and what she has heard about how he supposedly acted during and at the end of his previous marriage and Carrick is tight lipped about what really went on. But Sadie is also a smart women and knows to take things with a grain of salt but that doesn't mean mixing business and pleasure no matter how much Carrick seem to want it. This was a great read that had characters you liked, you thought were nasty and that you were on the fence if they deserved either Sadie or Carrick's friendship.
