I loved this entire series as a kid. Even in the 80s they were wonderfully dated in the same way as my beloved Ramona series by Beverly Cleary. Listening to it now, at 48, reminds me how I pictured that time period as a kid, like watching reruns of Leave it to Beaver. A strange idyllic image that I picked up from movies and tv. Also I'm pretty sure one of these kids was a sociopath. Overall, a fun, nostalgic read.
