I never saw it coming...the bones...the magic...the betrayal. It’s no longer a question of who I can trust—the answer is no one. Now, it’s about survival. I’m in the heart of the Order, trying to solve a series of mysterious disappearances, while doing everything that I can not to become bait. Enemies are circling, and they can’t seem to decide if they see me as a pawn or as a threat. Oh, and there’s that little issue of being tethered to Rogan, who I now want to kill. It’s time to figure out just what I’m capable of though. Because fool me once...shame on you. But fool me twice...and I will crush your bones to dust. My name is Lennox Osseous, and I’m about to unleash the wrath of the Bone Witch.

Theres a lot of push and pull with our MFC & MMC - theres some lack of consent (not in a good way), betrayals happen and we finally find out whats happened with all the bone witches AND main dudes bro. 2 plot holes I saw I am annoyed with though... (this is a major spoiler too fyi reveal at your own risk): 1. Leni should of recognized she could use blood magic sooner when she was trapped; as resourceful as she is and relentless in finding a solution when things are shit why tf did this not come to her sooner?? I know I was screaming it the second she was trying everything... 2. When she died - HE SHOULD OF DIED TOO duh they were connected/tethered and she had that dream where she killed him, why is that such a plot hole?? But no, he just says bye and she wakes in a morgue... UNLESS - maybe it only applies that if "he" dies she dies... but I didnt read it like that so who knows... Overall I liked this book and series and cant wait to see what happens next. This was a page turner for me for sure, and despite the fact I mostly stick to spice and the spice is in this was only a tease, I could not put this down.
