Recs if you like Queer: A Graphic History (Graphic Guides)...

LGBT*+ graphic novels / comics / manga +

Fluff to smut, including 18+ etc aka not exclusive to anything specific other than being queer content (queer & queer-rep inclusive stories). I have read a good handful of the ones now at the bottom of the list. Includes intended middle-grade-ish-level youth content to adult audience content.

In progress / updated over time. Mostly serving as an all-in-one-spot list until Pagebound figures something out that works well for multi-genre/format exploration. :)

(recs highly welcome) Attempting a highly exhaustive list.

history you probably didn't learn in school

Nonfiction graphic (comic) books aimed at teens or adults. Learn something with visuals, not just texts. Who says graphic novels are just for kids or don't cover more mature topics?

A mix of anthologies, standalones, and series. Many are indie!

a masterlist of non-fiction books (including memoirs) on Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. many of these are from my classes in university. however, I have not read all the books on this list, so some are included based on the summary, reviews, and of course your suggestions!

Books about queer people or written by queer people. Our voices will be heard.

Recommendations and requests welcome

A selection of fun and interesting graphic non-fiction. This is by no means exhaustive and I only included one book per author to keep this from getting cluttered, so feel free to use this as a starting point and explore!

Queer books are being challenged and banned way to much these days. Help me grow this list so we can support these books.

Green flag? Beige flag? Red flag? Depends on the clinician.
