As recognized in the above quote, farming is not a walk in the proverbial park. Along with the physical demands each toilsome day, it is also a significant endeavor of love and especially of hope. The books in this list span various genres, eras, and locales; recommendations always welcome!

Sometimes we need something familiar to get us out of a slump, reading or just life in general. There's something so cozy & comforting about rereading a beloved title.

Some of these I actually prefer on audiobook and I'll try to list here: The Shining Illuminae Files Sabriel (Tim Curry edition)

Books that don’t disappoint

When I say some of my best friends growing up were books this is what I mean

I grew up reading the Little House in the big Woods about Laura Ingalls as one of my first proper reading experiences, shared by my mother. This list is a dive into the world of Laura Ingalls, the books about her, her family and the homesteading and pioneering nostalgia.

Disclaimer: This is ✨not✨a woke list at all, and the romantization of pioneering is not the goal here 🙌🏼 beware of the glamorization of the pioneers, colonizing and destroying land as they progress in these stories.
