Allen does not disappoint in the second book of this series. I'm once again thrown into Katrina's struggle to understand herself, her powers, and all the other struggles that come with being a young adult, especially when it comes to matters of the heart.

To watch Kat come into her own, while struggling with family/island secrets, and ultimately making choices for the good of others not herself made it that I couldn't book this down until I finished it. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series; I want to know what happens to everyone & how her (and others) choices affect the world around them.
