I find most vampire-literature to be pretty gruesome (not in the way we want), but there are some brilliant exceptions!! a list of books with vampires that are not overly romanticized (dracula debatable)

Books that transport you from this crappy world we live in to fascinating, beautiful dimensions (with romance sometimes sprinkled throughout).
