A fun collection of D&D like adventure books or after adventure stories

No fairy-tale endings, no tender interludes, just morally ambiguous anti-heroes clawing their way through betrayal, war, and chaos.

Grimdark is about the dirt, the blood, and the crushing weight of reality in a world where "might is right." The genre takes its name from the tagline of 'Warhammer 40,000': "In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war." Here is a list of 100 essential Grimdark works including standalone novels, series starters, and graphic novels.

There are things that do not just walk upon the world—they consume it. These are the giants that the stars puked out, the ones forged in the furnace of ancient suns or birthed from the black voids of the deep. They are not 'big' in the way a mountain is big; they are 'big' in the way an apocalypse is big. To look upon them is to realize our own insignificance. They are the gears of the universe, the shadows on the moon, and the architects of our extinction. We call them ... The Colossi.

Science fiction and fantasy books featuring bugs, insects, arthropods, minibeasts, etc.

Lies of P is my favorite video game and I was on the hunt for reads that were similar! There's a few YA sprinkled in here, but I tried to avoid it for the most part. There is one comic here that's for pre-teens... but it fit so perfectly! There's a surprising lack of Pinocchio inspired horror books... 😔 Feel free to drop recommendations! 🧚‍♀️
