Such a sweet and touching Christmas tale. All of the characters are lovely and kind, even while they are each going through their own private pain.
While Annelise and Tate are the central romance to this story, there are side stories that are just as interesting going on with Tate’s sister and others. They all have their own journey and, while there is heartache, they all find their way to happiness in the end.
I found the chemistry in this book to be a low simmer. It seems right to be at that level, though. There’s attraction and comfort with these characters, and that works for a cozy holiday story. There were times I felt the story was a bit stagnant, but for the most part it had a decent flow and kept me engaged.
