Unique in the UK literary landscape, the prize is open to all genres, from literary fiction and crime to fantasy, horror, and speculative fiction.

Books where the main character is going through it, (or has gone through it), and dammit they’re dealing with it as best they can. Romantasy, SFR mainly! But a few memoirs and litfic too. ❤️‍🩹 Always open to more suggestions ❤️‍🩹

Just some great Irish books

2026 will be my third year actively trying to read as many Women's Prize For Fiction nominees as I can, and seeing as I have a really high rate of enjoyment I'll be continuing to try and fill in and read the backlist also. I hope this can be a list that I add to that anyone interested in the prize who has similar taste to me can dip into!
