Hell's Pawn

Hell's Pawn

Jay Bell

Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

Hell can be bittersweet… like the sting of unrequited love. After dying, John Grey finds himself in Purgatory, a pleasureless prison. Unable to stand the monotony, he makes a brave escape and falls straight into the arms of Rimmon, a sizzling hot incubus. John is soon recruited as Hell’s ambassador and must visit the afterlife realms of other cultures to enlist an army strong enough to stand against Heaven. As interesting as his new job is, John’s mind keeps returning to Purgatory and the souls still trapped there. Somehow he must stop a war he doesn’t believe in and liberate Purgatory, all while trying desperately to win the heart of a lovesick incubus. Hell’s Pawn is a wild ride through the afterlife on a rollercoaster of emotions!

Best freaking book I've read in a while. I had the best of times. I'm a big fan of the "something like" series, and I was skeptical of Jay Bell's Fantasy, but I am so glad I picked it up.
Specially recommended for Percy Jackson fans out there.
