A remote sanctuary near Yellow Point became my escape from a haunting history in the MMA ring. Under an alias I meet Abbey James, local host of a popular paranormal YouTube channel, and her captivating spirit and inquisitive nature draw me in. As she conducts a pivotal investigation on my own property, my guarded nature only intensifies her curiosity and she begins to unravel my true identity. Though we’re nothing alike, I can’t seem to distance myself from this woman, but the weight of my secrets threatens to tear us apart. When danger strikes I must choose between protecting Abbey or losing her forever. As secrets unravel, will our love withstand the trials that lie ahead, or will shadows from the past consume us both? While this is the second book in the Yellow Point series, each story is standalone and it's not necessary to read them in order.

Abbey is the librarian in town and also has a podcast about paranormal happenings. She goes to check out an old hospital in the area that is said to be haunted for the next series that she is doing. Ethan, who is an underground MMA fighter, owns the land where the hospital is and he goes to tell her to leave. When Ethan meets Abbey, though, there are sparks between the two of them. He lies to her about his name and who he is. The more time that they spend together, the more they really like each other. When the truth comes out, will Abbey realize Ethan did it what he did to protect her from himself and his past or will she just be so angry she won't see anything but the lies? And when his past comes rocketing back into his life, will Ethan be able to keep Abbey safe?
