this list is not to be confused with mastication
self care romance books in all forms: mutual, solo, IRL, video call, phone, overhearing, walking in on, public space, etc etc.
if you hate the word ‘masturbation’, try: flicking the bean, jerking off, finger banging, rub one out, beat the meat, dj the vj, wanking, jerkin the gherkin, fapping; we can go on for days. whatever you call it, i just hope you reach climax ⛰️ toys encouraged but a hand (or two or three or-) will do just fine.
🫵 𝑔𝑜 𝒻𝓊𝒸𝓀 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓈𝑒𝓁𝒻! 🫵 😇 gladly 😇

Disability in Queer Romance
Romance books featuring queer characters living with physical disabilities, mental health struggles, chronic illness, and/or neurodevelopmental conditions.
Note: If a series features the same MCs, I've only put the first book. If a series features different MCs, I've only listed the relevant book(s) in the series.
Be aware: list spans YA to erotica.
🚫 No "magical cure" tropes or "better dead than disabled" tropes welcome. No inspo porn.
Please leave any recs or concerns in the comments. 📝

Self-Care for Sad Gays
M/M hurt/comfort books - ones I’ve read plus ones recommended to me in the r/MM_RomanceBooks subreddit. Most of these have pretty intense hurt because that’s my jam

Romance Quest Books that aren't M/F
I went through all the books in the romance quest tab and here are all the ones where at least one of leads is in a relationship that is not "man and woman falling in love with each other." F/F, M/M, F/NBi, M/NBi, NBi/NBi, etc. Largely motivated by wanting to figure out which romance book quests I had a chance of getting the badges for. If I missed any, let me know. Quest specific info in the pinned comment.

Mental Health in Romance

Himbos in Romance
We devoted an episode to these lovable dummies back in season six. These are our picks.

Different disabilities in different books

Cheesy gay and queer romcoms
Queer romance novels that felt a little bit like bubblegum and sunshine and rainbows (but with like, a plot and some character development and stuff). Are these books a little silly? Did they take a few chapters for me to really get hooked? Did they make me stupidly grin at my kindle and make my husband wonder just what on earth I was reading? The answer to all of those is yes of course. And I wouldn’t want them any other way.

Favorite M/M Romance Stories
I love queer romances, here are some of my favorites. I've only done one per series, though I recommend all books attached to the books on this list.

Gay books that make me yearn
God when will it be my turn ☹️☹️ MLM books for my fellow yearning men out there 🤝 Some are a bit spicy, some not so much
Only adding 1 from each series (unless it's a series that's basically stand alone books - just in the same universe)
