I've been noticing that I reach for a lot of books that are kinda sci-fi-y and center around climate change. Some are more for sure sci-fi and some are more literary/between genres

MUNA wrote the song it gets so hot. And these are books that feel like that song. Literally and metaphorically.

The sun or summer or heatwave is a character or an oppressive force. Or the city of LA is a character or an oppressive force or a key setting. Or a combo of both. Or it’s a book MUNA have recommended. Or it’s just a bit steamy 🥵

Title is pretty self-explanatory really! This list contains only the entries in the Fiction category but I might create the other lists too if someone doesn't beat me to it, we'll see what the future holds ~

These books feel BIG. Think addictive and gives you that book hangover. Maybe you feel profound joy, heartbreak, anger, relief…or maybe ALL OF THAT AT ONCE. You can’t put these books down and once you do you enter a mourning period; there is a lingering emotional connection to characters or the world.
