There are three rules Brooke Sullivan must follow as a new nurse practitioner at a men's maximum-security: 1) Treat all prisoners with respect. 2) Never reveal any personal information. 3) Never EVER become too friendly with the inmates. But none of the staff at the prison knows Brooke has already broken the rules. Nobody knows about her intimate connection to Shane Nelson, one of the penitentiary's most notorious and dangerous inmates. And they certainly don't know that Shane was Brooke's high school sweetheart―the star quarterback who is now spending the rest of his life in prison for a series of grisly murders. Or that Brooke's testimony was what put him there. But Shane knows. And he will never forget.

This is Freida's BEST book yet!! Those of you saying The Housemaid is are crazy lol. Here are my thoughts :
Pros
✰ Very fast paced, as expected with Freida's books
✰ The twists were absolutely insaneeee - as someone who reads thrillers 24/7 I can pretty much predict most of the stuff I read but I didn't with this one
✰ All of the characters were so interesting
Cons
✰ As usual in Freida's books, the FMC makes some pretty stupid decisions lol
✰ The beginning was a little too slow imo, but I'm just picky lol
Overall Thoughts
This book is like watching a scary movie - like you know something is coming but you can't look away bc it's too good. This will prbly one of my fav thrillers for this year! If you want something that has you guessing the entire time, read this!!
