After my cheating fiance set my old life ablaze, I returned to Rosewood, the small town I grew up in. Everything in Rosewood may have looked the same, but it sure felt different ten years later. When I moved into my late grandmother’s cafe, I had no plans of staying long. Those plans of isolating myself in her shop quickly died. Nicholas Reid, my old rival from our high school volleyball team, found me minutes after entering town and seemed quite surprised to find me sneaking in during the middle of the night. Since I decided to take over my grandmother’s shop and run it on my own terms, Reid started showing up nearly every day. His helpful act was most likely a charade, just like every other man who had made their way into my life. But as we became friends, I found myself wishing for more. Learning to run my own business would be a challenging adventure, and with Reid living right next door I was bound to run into trouble. If luck was any factor, I was destined for ruin. Or would my luck in life and love turn around?

I have been swithering between giving this book three or four stars. My main issue with this book, which is the same as the first one; I wish it was longer. I felt like I missed out so much character development and relationship growth because of how short this was and how often it would jump so many weeks down the line. I really feel like Ansley has it in them to write a 400 page romance I just wish they would. Overall, I will round it up to a four star but my final rating will settle in the middle at 3.5 :)
