Recs if you like Carmilla and Laura...

every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!

bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.

i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!

in progress

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Open to suggestions for more titles.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Shorter books (under 200 pages) that are part of at least one quest. Many are also in the public domain, making them easily accessible when you want to grind for that next badge.

are all of those historical fiction? probably not. are all of those queer? well of course.

Books with obsessive and/or codependent queer relationships (relationship doesn't have to be canon but the vibes™ should be there)

Historical fiction books with queer characters

All the lesbians books I can find. If you have any book you want me to add please comment ❤️

Retellings of all types from fairy tales to classics to myths and legends

Recommendations and suggestions welcome

For those who yearn for toxic, tragic and darkly inclined lesbian/sapphic vampires

Legends, ballets, poems, plays, classics, and everything else that does not fit with fairytales, folklore or mythology.

I have other lists for sapphic fairytale, folklore and mythology retellings!

A list of books that have LGBTQ+ characters and at around 200 pages or less can in theory be read in a single day - Id love recommendations as well

The goal: to have the most comprehensive complete list of vampire books, fiction and otherwise, in the world. Then? I’ll read them all.

Please send recs <3

Note: The Sapphic story in The Revanche Cycle tetralogy (Winter's Reach) continues in the Wisdom's Grave trilogy (Sworn To The Night), which also has the final HEA. However the two series can be read independently of each other.

I'm a sucker for them

(almost) every single carmilla by j. sheridan le fanu related book in one convenient location

Female protagonists (or antagonists) who bring a burning rage, iron will, or anything they damn well please to the plot.
