I love the premise behind GEM and that Opal (Kate), Pearl (Raj) and Onyx (Janey) have a shared past and after going their own ways in life are brought back together my a mysterious benefactor Jacob to team up and help the most vulnerable people .... children. Opal and Mitch have insta attraction but for both their jobs aren't compatible with relationships especially Mitch who has an ex and daughter, however you can only fight how you feel for so long.
Seeing them both not only struggle with their feelings especially when forced into close proximity, but the need to find the missing kids as well as bring down the evil from the GEM ladies past and dangerous and terrifying repercussion to all due to the investigations.
There are twists you don't see coming, the air of danger around every corner, not knowing who you can trust or how bad will the things be that get uncovered, how far does the rot go and can Kate and Mitch see how great they could be together by giving each other a chance at love.
