Recs if you like The Invocations...

in progress

Basically, a huge list of every book I ever heard features sapphic characters.

I have not read all of these, so I cannot be sure of the amount of the time on page of the sapphic characters or of the quality of the books.

Some of these I do not plan to read at all, since they are not my style. If you feel like a book doesn't belong here, let me know.

For my favs / read, check out my other lists & shelves.

Open to suggestions for more titles.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Books with witchy female characters

Creepy books made better because there are queer characters

as comprehensive a guide to ya horror as i can make it! work in progress, suggestions welcome ♡

A tribute to a type of cover, originally deemed Girls with Fucked Up Faces, that never fails to grab my attention. Not all of these are books I’ve enjoyed or endorse or even read, it’s just all about the covers.

All the YA Sapphic books that have been published (or at least most of them). The books in this list have at least one main character who is either a lesbian, bisexual or pansexual. I only put the first books in series.

A mix of classics & modern literature, that have to do with the witchy, gothic and horror genres ✨

Because magic and murder do kind of mix

face forward, shoulders straight, smile! ...okay no smile, that's fine, i guess you're going through it, final girl.

These sapphic books come from all different genres, each one filling a past Sapphic September prompt plus several bonuses!! How many have you read?

Look, they just can’t help it. Sometimes they stumble into it. Sometimes it’s an addiction. Sometimes it heals something inside them. Sometimes they’ve investigated, gathered evidence, and prepared well in advance. Sometimes the law just isn’t doing its job. Sometimes…it just has to happen. Sorry not sorry.

I'm a lesbian who just really likes necromancy ok?

books that as far as I know are sapphic in some way, that have come out either last year, this year, or next year

home of the problematic and unreliable heroine, where decisions are messy and questionable at best.

A collection of horror books, that are slashers or at least slasher adjacent, with prominent queer characters

Books that all take place in Oxford

This list contains books with unique magic systems or unique ways to access and do magic. The magic is usually quite complex, a central part of the plot and explained in detail.
