Less hyped than Harry Potter (but way better)
These middle grade series may not have seven movies, a TV show, and a literal theme park dedicated to them, but they sure deserve it! Especially because they weren't written by JKR. All recommended by Pagebound users, and suggestions are always always welcome -- middle grade fantasy/mystery series-starters only, please! Let's foster a love of reading in kids without supporting bigotry and hatred.

Which Erin Am I Hunting?
The first books in other series as well as standalones that all the authors and illustrators under Erin Hunter have written in their own names.
Missing many standalone novels & works from universes not of their own creations (Like Marvel & DC) for now since there are sooo many (and I'm tired), but I will add them in the future whenever I feel like it.
*James L. Barry is not on this list because he currently only has online comics, nothing besides Warriors is published **Gillian Philip is not in this list due supporting J.K. Rowling (and thus being kicked out of the Erin Hunter team)

Animal protagonists , Creature Fantasy, and Xenofiction,
Series and books that feature animal MCs, of varying target audience age. There is a lean toward fantasy, as that is what I read, but I tried to include a number of other fiction titles with animal characters as well.
