Bess McNee likes to do hands-on research for her job writing for a soap opera. But her latest project turns out just a little different when she's arrested...for prostitution! At the station, Detective Alex Stanislaski questions her and realizes that she's not who he thought she was. In the days that follow, Alex can't seem to get away from the infuriating woman as she manages to convince his superior to let her to do a ride-along with him for her research.
