Carenza Bettridge is not in search of a match.  In fact, she simply wishes to avoid the ire of her step-mother and step-sisters.  Major James Rossington is quite certain he never wishes to marry.  That is until he finds himself unable to resist his protective instincts toward Carenza.  He proposed a simple marriage of convenience.  Nothing more.  However, could two imperfect people find their perfect match with each other?

I enjoyed the story.  Ross and Carenza are both so insecure that it was difficult not to hope they find happiness.  The supporting characters were a bit over the top, but I think that goes along with the Cinderella retelling.
